Position: HOSTESS
Reports to: Head Hostess
Department: Food and Beverages

The role

The Hostess ensures guests are greeted, seated and served and is responsible for ensuring that guest enjoy an excellent experience at the venue; in order to do this job well, a hostess often has to be engaging and genuinely interested in the success of the establishment.

Main duties include:

- The Hostess schedules dining reservations for guests in advance and as they arrive at the restaurant. Hostesses often have to make decision about where a group will sit in the restaurant,
- The Hostess works alongside other team members to ensure the customers looked after,
- Should a party have special need or request accommodations, the hostess ensures the group’s requirements are met. This may include individuals with disabilities or food allergies,
- The Hostess greets guests as they arrive and takes them to their seats, provides a menu and explains specials and answers immediate questions the guests have. The Hostess also introduces guests to their server.
- The Hostess also inspects and maintains the dining facilities by instructing the personnel and waiters. They may be required to spot cleanliness problems and to help clear tables to facilitate guest needs.
- Say good-bye to guests and inquire if their experience was pleasant. Not only is the hostess the first impression a guest experiences when they come to an establishment, they are also the last.

Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience as a hostess preferably for a restaurant / night club
Education: The ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field
Core competencies: Leadership, planning, customer service

Package:
4000 AED / month / Accommodation / Transportation / Food Allowane + Medical Insurance + Flight to Europe every 2 years / 1 month holidays paid / Opportunity to have 2 or 3 months off (not paid) to work during the summer in Europe for instance.
